Time has been flying so quickly, perhaps experiencing time is a very personal thing. But no matter what, at each new year day it feels like the year has passed so quickly. During our travels in India, I have paused for a few days in Secunderabad, a place where I grew up. I did both elementary and high school here. Also did my bachelor’s from a local university. I have driven around the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad in the last few days, and most everything has changed. There are a lot more buildings, shops, restaurants that have come up.
As I arrived in town, I was able to connect with my dear childhood friends. It is always good to sit and talk about the childhood, the innocence we carry, and we see in children today. We question ourselves as to why that innocence doesn’t stay with us. The daily hustles and bustle to make a decent living and caring for our families takes away a lot of our time and we are left with no time to meditate and reflect.
One of our school friends opened a beautiful restaurant, if you are in town, don’t miss it. You will both love the ambiance and food and of course coffee! I liked every vegetarian selection (the restaurant serves non-vegetarian as well) I picked when I took my parents, and his brother, and his wife. My uncle has never tried Mexican or Thai cuisine before, and he really enjoyed it.

Next week we start our travels to the south going to the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamilnadu. The travels will be more than 10days before we come back and take a pause in Secunderabad and head to the north towards Meerut, UP again. Hope all have a wonderful New Year 2023!
