The drive from Ajmer to Jodhpur was one of the best during this roadtrip. The roads seem to be brand new, although most of the traffic is from trucks transporting goods across states.
InJodhpur I looked up places to visit and decided do go to a place called Balsamand Lake. It so turned out that the lake is now part of a hotel called Balsamand Lake Palace. We only found this out after two hurdles. One, we came to a dead end where there are acres and acres of Stone cutting for construction. We took another route to finally reach it. Second we found out that public is not allowed to enter. So we asked if we could dine the restaurant inside, and the gatekeeper let us in.

The views of the lake were spectacular and we spotted baboons and peacocks inside. The lake was serene, and the place was just beautiful. We clicked sone nice shots of the lake view and the grandeur of the palace.
The other two places of interest were the Mehrangarh fort and Mandore Gardens. Both places were beautiful. The fort had great views from the top, and a temple of Chamunda Mata, which not many people were visiting due to its walking distance. Mandore Braden’s seemed to maintained very well, but the architecture was just spectacular. We took sone great shots of the temples, and I was even able to find a spot to meditate. It was very peaceful.
